Be Still, My Beating Heart

Easter 2013












They are growing so quickly. I never could imagine how much I would love them or how blessed I would feel to have three precious daughters.

Thank you God for sending your Son.

I enjoy reading Puritan prayers and this one seems so appropriate and much more eloquent than my writing, so I want to share.

The Valley of Vision
A Puritan prayer from The Valley of Vision:

Lord, high and holy, meek and lowly,
Thou has brought me to the valley of vision,
where I live in the depths but see thee in the heights;
hemmed in by mountains of sin I behold
Thy glory.

Let me learn by paradox
that the way down is the way up,
that to be low is to be high,
that the broken heart is the healed heart,
that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit,
that the repenting soul is the victorious soul,
that to have nothing is to possess all,
that to bear the cross is to wear the crown,
that to give is to receive,
that the valley is the place of vision.

Lord, in the daytime stars can be seen from deepest wells,
deepest wells,
and the deeper the wells the brighter
Thy stars shine;

Let me find Thy light in my darkness,
Thy life in my death,
Thy joy in my sorrow,
Thy grace in my sin,
Thy riches in my poverty
Thy glory in my valley.

Exam Time

Landry is sick. Just look at this poor pumpkin in the car...


She's mad that she's "froughing up". She's also tired....


Was completely asleep this way. So we are at the doctor getting tested for strep. Hailey just told me now that her stomach hurts too.

Don't worry, Dr. Reese is examining her.


When Hailey told her that her stomach hurt, Dr. Reese said, "well....then let's take your stomach out!" And proceeded to full on tickle her. We all laughed (minus Landry that is).- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone

Tuesday Night Dinner

Tuesday afternoons/evenings are NUTTY here! We go from gymnastics for Hailes to soccer practice for Roo and back to gymnastics for Landry Lou Lou. After the first practice we have a small window to eat....hello Sonic....for the two gymnasts and then after Landry goes to class, Reese needs food too. Here we are having a car picnic yesterday! Pass the tater tots please!
