She's Crazy, But I Like It

When Hailey got home from school today, Reese wasn't home. After a few hours, this convo ACTUALLY happened:

H: Mom, when's Reese going to finally come home?
Me: Soon. Why? Do you miss her?
H: Yes!
Me: You always say how CRAZY she is. I didn't realize you'd miss her... (Wink wink)
H: Well....she IS crazy.....but that's what I love about her!
Me: oh!
H: Yea....I love playing on the trampoline with her. She just tries to always tackle me and knock me over. It's so fun.

They may all be very different. However....they are the best of friends. I feel blessed.

Painted Pizza!

Hailey had a day off from school and was feeling creative. So, I gave her a pizza box and paint. Wa Lah!!!





The girl is so artistic!!!

Her sister Reese and I have been working on her batting skills in the backyard. The chick can smack a tennis ball!

We Live In Texas...That Means...

We fish (indoors....because Texans don't like to be cold and on this day, it was chilly.)

We shoot things (again...in climate controlled buildings)

And, we play golf (it was in the upper 60's this day....totally acceptable to venture back outside).

We...are....Texans.

Your Face

Me:  Hailes, I missed you while you were at school today.  I thought about you lots.

Hailey:  You did?

Me:  Yep, you miss me too?

Hailey:  Uh-huh.

Me:  You did? (gushing in my "I'm totally going to drag out this conversation because you're getting way too big too fast" tone)  How often did you think of me?

Hailey:  (eyes rolled...thinking) Twice.

Me:  ONLY TWICE?

Hailey:  Yep, once in the classroom and once at recess.

Me:  Did you think about how AWESOME your mom is?

Hailey:  Nope.  I just thought about your face.

Me:  As in....you missed seeing me?

Hailey:  Nope.  I just pictured your face, Mom.

I love her.  She makes me happy....even if she only thinks of my face.

Tucker

When we picked up this cute boy about a year ago, he weighed 10 pounds.


Today he went to the vet for an ear infection.


And weighed in at 93.6 lbs. and the vet said he's definitely not done filling out and thinks he will end up at 120 lbs.

We have our very own Clifford the Big Red Dog! It's Tucker The Giant Golden Retriever!
