Reese's Scrapbook
Here's Reese's personal scrapbook from her transitional kindergarten class this year:
Not surprisingly, she drew lots of animals. She is happiest on a farm watching over horses and bunnies, etc. And, I love that her favorite field trip was "driving to the food pantry." She and I drove there and had a special lunch together afterwards. I did not realize how important it was to her, but I feel so touched to know she loved it as much as me.
She's ready for kindergarten. My heart is still torn to know that her official schooling begins so soon.
Here's to living it up together this summer!

Vocabulary Parade
Hailey had to dress up for a vocabulary parade last week. Her word was pastry. It had to be a homemade costume.
I googled. I stepped aside because this is not my forte. Trey and Hailey created her costume.

Who's Up?
In car with family tonight...
Hailey: Are the roads open at night?
Trey: Yes. Give me some examples of people who might work late at night and need to drive..
H: Ummmm....people that work at Wal-Mart?
T: Uhhhh....sure.
Reese: GOD!!!!
T: Well....sure.
Hailey: You know, God doesn't need THAT much sleep.
*laughter and pause*
Hailey: no seriously, He's God. He realllllly doesn't need to sleep guys! Hey, are car fixing places open all night?
Trey: Not normally...
Hailey: Oh, because that one time when Mommy scraped our car into a jeep, we really needed a car place.
I have had ONE minor run-in with a parked car (parallel parking and I aren't friends) since college. The girl has a memory like no other......except for those first few months of her life when she didn't sleep at night and screamed from 11PM-2AM and her father and I were delirious on lack of sleep....she conveniently can't remember THAT!

Monday Lunch Date
My last Monday of preschool before summer. Landry and I always have our together time while sissies are at school. She cannot WAIT to have her sisters home all the time!

Cinco de GORGEOUS Mayo!
Isaiah 40: 25-26
To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal? says the Holy One.
Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.
We visited our friend's farm this weekend and the ladies went out on a walk. Was so pretty we took pics!

Good For My Soul
I've got tons of laundry to fold and put away inside. However, it's 80, hardly any wind and my sweet Hailes just got home from school. So instead, the laundry is waiting....Hailey Bailey and I have put two folding chairs in the driveway to soak up some sun with our feet propped up on each other. She's doing her reading for school and I'm reading my Bible and taking in some of God's sunshine and His word.
We just shared what each other has been up to today. Her giggle makes my soul happy on what has been a kinda-tough day.

Praise The Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples.
For great is his love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord.
